I have to admit, when I found out about the Monster High dolls, I was a bit jealous they weren’t available when I was younger. I find something about the creepy-cool look of them very appealing.
This craft project was also a fun chance to play with interior design, (on a much smaller, affordable scale – haha). For this project, I challenged myself to create a design inspired by the Skelita doll (whom herself is inspired from Dia de los Muertos sugar skulls). I wanted a somewhat bohemian feel to the room, and I think I achieved it. Everything you see I created by hand, with the exception of the doll herself.
I have more designs for other Monster High dolls in various states of progress at home, so you may see more pop up in the future.
- The walls are a 3 ring binder, decorated
- The chair used to be a tea box
- Close up of the dresser and mirror

Wow I love Skelita’s bedroom! That fabric is awesome, and perfect for Skelita.
