My cousin and her new husband love to travel. In fact, they had a destination wedding in Ireland (a country where they both share heritage). She asked me if I would help them find a guest book, something that reminded her of “old-world travel” type of design. I ended up taking it a step furthur than she expected, and I created a full scrapbook for them.
I took a used book called “One World”, took out all of the old pages and sewed in some new blank pages that I had artificially aged. Then I added scraps of maps, luggage tags, black and white pictures and text pages from an old book on Ireland, and scrapbook paper to create a very unique guest book for them. The guests were instructed to sign on their favorite scrap, and in addition to well wishes, share an adventure idea for the bride and groom.
Unfortunately I forgot to take more pictures, but on the inside cover was a black and white sketched map of Ireland, and the back had one of my favorite quotes “Don’t count the miles, count the I love yous.” (from a Christina Perri song).
