I am definitely confessing my guilty pleasure with this post. I love the Monster High and Ever After High doll lines. The level of detail and design work that goes into them… I just had to start a collection. My husband thinks I’m crazy, but I don’t really care.
Here is another shot at trying to design a room to fit one of the Monster High doll’s themes. The doll was Abbey Bominable the “daughter of the abominable snowman”. Her color scheme involves a lot of white, and pale pink, blue and purple — in addition to a touch of glitter. I built her bedroom out of cardboard, fabric, scrapbook paper, and popsicle sticks. Let me know what you think!
- Catrine, visiting Abbey in her much colder climate than Scaris, needed to borrow a blanket and some hot chocolate.
- Probably my favorite detail of the entire room right here, this little shelf made with computer paper, a popscicle stick, and the hooks off a plastic hanger.
- Abbey loves to snowboard, so she has a snowboard made of japanese paper and cereal boxes.
- Zoomed out a bit so you can see the layout. Love my popscicle stick “hardwood floor”
- Catrine looking contemplative. A few changes and this could be her room instead.
- Perfume bottles made of beads, a little clutch purse I made, and a mirror on top of Abbey’s vanity table.
- Abbey’s tufted daybed. Made from cereal boxes, and fabric. The throw blanket was a solid purple and I played with my fancy stitches on my machine to add detail.
- Abbey’s fireplace has a battery operated tealight inside!
- Her shelf was made from a JCrew gift card box

Awesome! I am digging that white fire place, love the little tea light detail!
